Locations relating to Yoshinaka Kiso

Fated warlord, Yoshinaka Kiso
Fleeing from Kanto at the age of two after his clan was torn apart by a power struggle, Komaomaru arrived in Kiso and was raised with the support of influential locals, taking the name Yoshinaka Kiso as an adult.
In 1180, he was ordered by the Court to hunt down and destroy the Heike, a powerful samurai clan at the time. For this purpose, Yoshinaka pursued his target north to Hokuriku, and then south to Kyoto where he was promoted to the highest rank of warlord, only to be killed by a ruse during a battle with the Kamakura army. Yoshinaka’s life ended at the age of only 31 years.
